ACE is run by volunteers and seeks to involve

people across all communities in Ashburton

and the surrounding villages in practical

actions that connect us, create community,

combat social isolation, teach new skills and encourage healthy and sustainable lifestyles

and resilience.

 

  • Meets regularly to coordinate policy, communication, financial issues and

        partnerships

  • Sends out a regular newsletter, hosts

        the  Facebook page and this website

  • Runs Community meetings (post Covid)

  • Offers support to projects 

  • Coordinates Partnerships, responses to consultations and lobbying

  •   Organise public theme-based meetings to encourage       interest, offer hands on experience, education and          individual involvement

  •   Draw on the considerable professional and user               experience of local residents

  •   Seek views of local people through questionnaires and     dialogue

  •   Research existing ideas, projects, data and policies 

  •   Encourage and welcome new volunteers
