Community

The Hub and Action Circles are all volunteers.  

ACE wants to involve people across all

communities in Ashburton and the surrounding villages in practical actions that connect us,

create community, combat social isolation,

teach new skills and encourage healthy and sustainable lifestyles and resilience.

 

  • Meets regularly to coordinate policy, communication, financial issues and

        partnerships

  • Sends out a regular newsletter, hosts

        the  Facebook page and this website

  • Runs Community meetings (post Covid)

  • Meets with  the ‘Action Circles’ to offer

        support, review progress and synergies

  • Coordinates Partnerships, responses to consultations and lobbying

  •   Meet regularly to develop projects - currently over 20      projects are being developed

  •   Organise public theme-based meetings to encourage       interest, offer hands on experience, education and          individual involvement

  •   Draw on the considerable professional and user               experience of local residents

  •   Seek to learn from other local and national groups

  •   Produce topic-based local directories

  •   Seek views of local people through questionnaires and     dialogue

  •   Research existing ideas, projects, data and policies 

  •   Encourage and welcome new volunteers
